November 19 2024 BUS TRIP
Texas Cotton Gin Museum, Burton Short Stop & Peeka Ranch
Our trip begins with a tour of the Texas Cotton Gin Museum in Burton. Visitors are offered the opportunity to actually “gin cotton”, discover its impact on Texas and American history, and learn how the seeds are separated from the soft white fibers. We will have lunch at the nearby Burton Short Stop for a burger, sandwich, lunch plate, or salad. On the way back we will visit Peeka Ranch to view and feed the cute Alpacas and shop at the ranch store for Alpaca products which make unique Christmas gifts.
We depart from the church at 8:25 am and should be back by about 4:00 pm.
Cost for the museum and ranch is $10.
We hope to see you there! As always, All parishioners age 50+ are welcome.
