Our March bus trip will take us to Schulenburg, Texas and the Painted Churches of Ammannsville, High Hill, Praha, and Dubina.
The Painted Churches in Schulenburg, Texas, are a collection of
beautifully decorated churches known for their stunning interiors.
These churches, primarily built by Czech immigrants in the late19th
and early 20th centuries, feature vibrant murals, intricate woodwork,
and stained glass that reflect their cultural heritage.
Notable Churches we will visit:
Lunch will be at one of the several excellent restaurants located in and around Schulenburg.
Depart St. Catherine’s 8:15am and return by 5pm.
Sign up and payment is due by March 23, 2026
Cost is $30.00 per person plus lunch.
Please plan on getting to St. Catherine's 15 minutes before we are due to leave so that you can get yourselves sorted and use the facilities if need be.
We hope to see you there! As always, All parishioners age 50+ are welcome.

Visiting the amazing Bryan Museum of Texas history which was the former Galveston Orphanage.

Enjoying an afternoon at The Post with the Houston skyline in the background.

Dinner at Soto's Cantina after a performance of Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play at Stageworks Theatre.

Walking through Beaumont Botanical Gardens followed by lunch at Cracker Barrel and tour of Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur

Dinner at Katie’s Seafood House in Galveston followed by Leap of Faith musical at Island ETC Theatre.

Visit to Archway Gallery and Rothko Chapel, shopping at Charity Guild, lunch at Katz’s Deli.

Wine tasting of Italian Wines and dinner at Maggiano’s Little Italy.

Attending White Christmas at Owen Theatre with dinner at Tuscany Italian Grill.

Learning about cotton ginning at Texas Cotton Gin Museum followed by lunch at Burton Short Stop and feeding Alpacas at Peeka Ranch.

Visit to San Jacinto Battleground and Buffalo Soldiers National Museum with lunch at Mandola’s Deli.

Watching Steel Magnolias at CAST Theatrical in Rosenberg followed by dinner at Los Gallitos Mexican Café.
