From Nicky Scott, your new 50+Bus Trip Coordinator, and Audrey Nelson, co-coordinator

Our February bus trip will take us downtown to the Houston Fire Museum which has recently opened its doors after a four year preservation project. The Museum’s home, “Old 7’s,” was a station build in 1899. It has been restored to its original beauty and added modern conveniences. This is a guided tour of 1.5 hours including a fire safety video that will open your eyes to something we all do not think about.
Next stop is to the Houston Police Department (HPD) Museum which is located in the lobby of HPD Headquarters. There is a memorial wall to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, displays of artifacts for the Honor Guard, SWAT, Mounted Patrol, and other uniforms and equipment utilized over the years. We should have someone available to provide additional information for us due to the large group.
**Due to the issue that this is the HPD Headquarters, we will go through a security screening process such as being scanned through a metal detector. Just like at the Theatre, Rodeo etc.**
Lastly and importantly, Lunch, which you are responsible for. We will dine at Saint Arnold Brewing Company before heading back to the church. Anticipated return by 4pm.
Depart St. Catherine’s 9:00am and return by 4pm.
Sign up by February 19, and payment is due by February 23, 2026
You must sign up by February 19 so that all names can be submitted to HPD for entry into the HPD Headquarter Building. This will make the process of entry for our large group smoother.
Cost is $10.00 per person.
Please plan on getting to St. Catherine's 15 minutes before we are due to leave so that you can get yourselves sorted and use the facilities if need be.
We hope to see you there! As always, All parishioners age 50+ are welcome.
