From Nicky Scott, your new 50+Bus Trip Coordinator, and Audrey Nelson, co-coordinator

We have an exciting trip scheduled for Tuesday, May 12 to Independence/Brenham Texas, (Independence,, the birthplace of Texas) for a guided tour of the Antique Rose Emporium. Eight acres of roses, display gardens, and historic buildings. After our guided tour we will take a rest in the beautiful gardens should some of you wish to visit the nursery and gift shop.
Lunch will be at the Independence Food Center Grocery (don’t let the name fool you) and for your sweet tooth, a stop at the famous little creamery in Brenham for ice cream. Along the way we will stop for a brief stretch of legs at some historical sites such as Baylor on Windmill Hill and Mrs. Sam Houston House.
We will depart from the church at 9 am and should be back by 5 pm.
Cost for the tour is $12 not including lunch and is payable by check to Nicky by May 8th.
Please plan on getting to St. Catherine's 15 minutes before we are due to leave so that you can get yourselves sorted and use the facilities if need be.
